Training Coordinator (Part-Time, Salaried/Non-Exempt)

Mission:  The Philadelphia Children's Alliance (PCA) is an independent non-profit organization that promotes healing and justice for sexually abused children in Philadelphia. Using a multidisciplinary approach, we collaborate with our partners in child protection, law enforcement, and medical and mental health services to provide forensic interviews, victim support and counseling services at the Philadelphia Safety Collaborative, a co-located child-friendly facility. We are committed to using best practices and we promote this model locally and nationally.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Program Manager, this position is responsible for providing coordination for trainings and education provided by PCA. The Training Coordinator helps schedule trainings, collate training materials and maintains training resources. They assist with securing venues and making travel arrangements for trainers and consultants. They also assist the Program Manager with identifying needs and priorities within our Multi-Disciplinary Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Manager to assess gaps training needs for the MDT.
  • Manage training schedule for community and MDT.
  • Track Attendance and data regarding survey results.
  • Greet all trainees in a warm and welcoming manner, ensuring their comfort (as much as possible)
  • Review housekeeping of space with trainees.
  • Register participants, distribute evaluations and certificates.
  • Purchase, set up and clear all refreshments for training.
  • Order supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Provide on-site support on day of trainings.
  • Participate in continuing education to ensure knowledge of current best practice in responding to child
  • abuse allegations.November 2024
  • Assistance with mailings as needed.
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by the Manager.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Familiarity with the dynamics of sexual abuse and child abuse reporting requirements in Pennsylvania.
  • Experience working providing education or training and training coordination.


Special Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone communications.
  • Friendly and pleasant personality.
  • PC literacy including basic knowledge of Word for Windows, spreadsheet applications and database
  • functions.
