PCA values its multidisciplinary team, which creates a meaningful collaboration among organizations within and across city sectors, resulting in better outcomes than if PCA were working alone.
Thanks to PCA’s leadership in this joint effort, victims of child sexual abuse in the city of Philadelphia have timely access to justice and healing. With the city’s large number of reports of child sexual abuse, it is incredibly important that PCA be able to maintain its capacity to fulfill its mission.
PCA partners with two hospitals,
St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and the Children’s Hospital for Children, to provide on-site medical exams.
PCA partners with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office which holds offenders accountable and ensures community safety.
PCA works collaboratively with the DHS Sex Abuse Unit. This partnership ensures that sexually abused children receive comprehensive and sensitive treatment in all aspects of the investigation and subsequent intervention.
The Philadelphia Police Department Special Victims Unit refers all
cases of child sexual
abuse to the Alliance.
PCA’s 23 mental health partners have linkage agreements with PCA to ensure that at least 1,000
clients across the city receive timely evidenced-based,
trauma-focused treatment annually.
