PCA leads a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), uniting the Philadelphia Police Department Special Victims Unit, the Philadelphia Department of Human Services, the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and our 23 mental health partners throughout the city.
These organizations work with us from the point of report throughout a child’s and family’s involvement with PCA. This collaboration ensures abused children and their non-offending caregivers receive comprehensive and individualized treatment.
We refer to this team as the Philadelphia Safety Collaborative. Our co-located space on Hunting Park Avenue enhances the flow of information, sharing making investigations more child-centered, effective and timely.
