at Philadelphia Children's Alliance
Join us in the fight against child sex abuse and help bring healing and justice
to Philadelphia's most vulnerable children.
Volunteer opportunities at PCA fit into 4 major categories:
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, we encourage you to browse the opportunities below and fill out an application.
A PCA Staff Member will respond to your request as soon as possible.
All prospective volunteers may be at least 18 years of age and be willing to submit to a background check,
as well as a mandatory reporter training. Information for both will be provided upon the acceptance of your application.
Any expenses incurred will be reimbursed.

Friday, April 4, 2025 12PM - 2PM
The month of April is Child Abuse Awareness Month. During this time, we come together to plant pinwheels in front of our building. The pinwheels represent the number of children we served during the previous year.
Planting pinwheels in the ground (soil). You will be provided with a poker to poke a hole in the ground so that the pinwheel's stem can be pushed down into the soil.
Saturday, April 5, 2025
Timing TBD
We will be cleaning Hunting Park Ave between Whitaker Ave and Front Street.
Cleaning supplies and light refreshments will be provided.
We will be bagging litter and debris from the sidewalks and curbs and setting trash in designated areas for pick-up.
Thursday, April 3, 2025 and Ongoing
We are looking for volunteers to support PREVENT annual conference planning, and event hosting.
Prevent volunteers will have an opportunity to support PCA's mission to build equity in their evaluation process for caregivers to work more closely with youth support organizations who are working to prevent child sexual abuse.

The Bear Affair is our largest -- and most important -- annual fundraiser
Volunteers help us gather silent and live auction items for the event, network with their communities to grow attendance, and perform tasks the event day of.
