November 2024
As I walked out of Braidmill after our meeting last week, I couldn’t help but reflect on the potential that our Board holds to make a substantial, tangible difference in this moment.
There are so many incredible things happening at PCA. Our services and spaces are expanding. Staff is growing and evolving. Our reach is broadening. And still, the need for our vital organization is increasing at a rapid pace.
We must continue to do all we can – whenever we can – to ensure that PCA is here for
every child who needs us. As you know, this also means supporting we are supporting families and educating communities. This work takes intention, training, and resources.
Even though we, as board members, are not on the ground day in and day out like PCA clinicians, interviewers, advocates, and staff, our job is also not easy. We are tasked with being the voice for the most vulnerable children in our city. We are tasked to be models of giving who inspire each other, our networks and our companies to give.
Most important of all – we are tasked to lead. Together, I know that we can hit record goals for participation and funds raised this year and make a historic impact.
I hope that I can count on you to make a financial commitment to our Annual Board Appeal before year end, and to spread the word of PCA to your colleagues, cohorts,
and friends.
You can make your pledge by mail., at the button below, or by contacting our development team.
It is an honor to serve as your Board president. I am excited to work with you in the year to come and I especially look forward to celebrating 25 Years of The Bear Affair with you in May.
Sincerely,
